How to find a good care home in your area

It’s important that a care home is located in a good area that you can easily visit regularly. In order to see the nearest care homes and nursing homes in your area, the Which guide to elderly care map could help. Just enter your post code and a map of the different homes in your area will show.  It will also display whether a care home is deemed ‘good’ or if it ‘requires improvement’, making it easy to identify which homes are worth visiting.

It will also tell you about the domiciliary support provided in your area (care at home) and also where local support groups are located. These support groups are designed to help people affected by dementia.
