Peaky Blinders is a gangster family drama set in Birmingham in 1919 and starring Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy and Helen McCrory. The gang get their nickname, chillingly, from the razor blades that they keep in their peaked caps, and are based on a real group of wrong ‘uns. It started in 2013 and immediately proved popular with viewers, thanks to its high drama and plot twists.

Now you can enhance your love of the show with a special tipple! The Peaky Blinder spirit range, made up of a whiskey, a gin and a rum, is made in the Black Country, where the programme is set. They are produced by family firm Sadler’s who own some of the pubs that the real Peaky Blinders used to visit.
The spirits are inspired by flavours from the era (the 1920s) which saw Britain becoming more exotic as different ethnicities settled in the area.
Whiskey was the preferred drink of the Blinders, and this one is a nod to the prevalent Irish community of the period.
The 1920s was a big era for gin, particularly in cocktails. This one is particularly spicy, so a real cockle-warmer.
