Dogs Trust has launched a school for naughty pooches

If your dog could use a little help with his naughty behaviour, the new Dog School from Dogs Trust could be the solution.

It's a nationwide programme designed to curb bad canine behaviour, and in turn reduce the number of dogs being turned in to rescue shelters.

Last year the charity received 9,000 calls from owners wanting to re-home their pets because of behavioural issues. Their research has shown that naughty pooches cost the average owner £353.28 a year in terms of damage to furniture, gardens and possessions (particularly footwear!)

Dogs Trust is keen to improve the bond between owner and dog, and improve behaviours. The school will give dogs the skills to make the right choices, no matter how tempting the alternative.
