Prince Harry and Meghan swap wedding gifts for donations to charity

As the highly anticipated royal wedding becomes increasingly closer, more and more details about Prince Harry and Meghan Markles big day are being revealed, and we were VERY happy to hear the two will be supporting THESE charities on their wedding day.

Instead of asking for wedding gifts, the royal couple have asked their wedding guests to kindly donate to several charities of their choice. Although they have no official partnerships with the chosen charities, they are all causes the pair are both very passionate about.

The seven chosen charities are Chiva (Children’s HIV Association), Crisis (the national charity for homeless people), Myna Mahila Foundation (provides access to sanitary products and help with employment for women in India), Scotty’s Little Soldiers (helps bereaved British forces children), StreetGames (improves communities through sport), Surfers Against Sewage (protects oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife against pollution) and The Wilderness Foundation UK.

The small charities chosen are said to be delighted, and although they currently have fairly small profiles and followings, they hope the support of Harry and Meghan will help their causes and increase donations.
