It seems Her Majesty is a secret Pointless fan after she led her team at her local Women’s Institute to victory during a Pointless gameshow quiz!
The quiz took place at the Queen’s local WI in West Newton village hall where she pays an annual visit to as part of her winter stay at her Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Even Pointless host Alexandra Armstrong turned up to host the quiz, putting their knowledge to the test.
The Queen has been a member of the Sandringham Women’s Institute since 1943, back when she was still Princess Elizabeth. Making her annual speech, she said: "Of course, every generation faces fresh challenges and opportunities.
"As we look for new answers in the modern age, I for one prefer the tried and tested recipes, like speaking well of each other and respecting different points of view; coming together to seek out the common ground; and never losing sight of the bigger picture."
Host Alexander Armstrong was previously informed by a palace insider that Queen Elizabeth is a big Pointless fan and he was very impressed by her performance in the quiz!
"I think Her Majesty and the team can be very pleased with themselves tonight and go back covered in glory," he said.
"I think they can look back over the match and feel rightly proud of what they achieved."
