Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright (the reality TV star best known for The Only Way is Essex) coincidentally met when they were both on holiday in Dubai back in 2012. They returned there a year later and got engaged.

In April 2015, Michelle and Mark tied the knot in St Mary's Church at Bury St Edmonds, alongside their loved ones. She wore a bespoke ivory gown by Galia Lahav, which was made with Swarovski crystals and French lace.

Coronation Street

From 2008 to 2014, Michelle Keegan was in Coronation Street, playing barmaid Tina McIntyre. One of her most notable storylines was the affair she had with Peter Barlow, who was engaged to Carla Connor at the time. Tina was later killed off by Rob Donovan (Carla's brother).

Our Girl

Michelle Keegan played army medic Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the drama Our Girl on BBC One. She took over from Lacey Turner, who was the main character (Molly Dawes) in series 1.

The show came to an end in 2020, although fan's hope that there'll be another series in the future.

Michelle said, "I've had the most incredible four years on the show. Playing Georgie has been a life-changing role for me. I've loved every second... So it was a very hard decision to make not to return."

Downton Abbey

Although not part of the official series, Michelle Keegan has starred in a Downton Abbey charity-cameo, playing a flapper girl auditioning to play the Abbey's Santa.

Tina and Bobby

ITV created a three-part series based on the relationship between footballer Bobby Moore and Tina Moore, in which Lorne MacFadyen and Michelle took on the two roles.


Michelle Keegan has played Erin Croft in the Sky comedy Brassic since it began in 2019. It was created by Joe Gilgun and Danny Brocklehurst, and Joe also plays Vinnie, the main character, who shares a son with Erin.

It also incidentally stars Imelda Staunton and Dominic West, who play mother and son in The Crown.


Ten Pound Poms

Ten Pound Poms is a BBC drama that stars Michelle Keegan, Faye Marsay (Bancroft, Game of Thrones) and Warren Brown (Luther, Trigger Point). It's based on the 1950s Assisted Passage Migration Scheme where British families and single women were encouraged to move to Australia to increase their population.

In 2024, the BBC announced that Ten Pound Poms will be returning for series 2 and that filming will begin in Australia in February.

Fool Me Once

She secured the lead role in Harlan Coben's Netflix drama Fool Me Once, and as soon as it was released, viewers were binge-watching it and searching for 'Michelle Keegan coats on Fool Me Once'.

Fool Me Once tells the story of Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) as she grapples with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage). Maya's journey takes a startling turn when she installs a nanny-cam to watch over her young daughter, only to witness a man she believes to be her deceased husband inside her home.

Other cast members include Adeel Akhtar Joanna Lumley, Dino Fetscher and Emmet J. Scanlan.
