In what’s fast become one of our favourite festive traditions, the Great British Bake Off is back with a special Christmas series. We’re relieved to see that the move to Channel 4 hasn’t changed things too much.
This year the show will feature a host of favourite former contestants, across two episodes.
Presenters Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig will be back too, along with judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
The returning bakers for the first episode The Great British Christmas Bake Off will be Paul Jagger, Beca Lyne-Pirkis, Selasi Gbormittah and Val Stones. Paul is a prison governer from series 6, Beca hosts a Welsh cookery show and was in series 4, Selasi is a banker from series 9 and Val is a retired teacher from series 7.
Then the second episode, The Great Festive Bake Off, bakers Benjamina Ebuehi, Rob Billington, Rav Bansal and Sandy Docherty will compete. Benjamina is working in the food business and is from series 7, Rob is a photographer from series 2, Rav is a baker from series 7 and Sandy is a child welfare officer who appeared in series 6.
