Following the announcement that the role of the Queen will next be played by Olivia Colman, it looks like another brilliant actress will be joining the cast of The Crown in the shoes of Princess Margaret.
The award-winning actress, Helena Bonham-Carter is set to join the cast of The Crown in the role of Princess Margaret, taking over from Vanessa Kirby who has played Princess Margaret for the first two seasons of The Crown. The introduction of the new actors in the series sees the start of the 1970’s and will see 51 year-old Helena, play the Queen’s younger sister.
Experienced actress Helena has starred in a whole host of films including Harry Potter, The King’s Speech, Les Misérables and Suffragette to name a few and fans can’t wait to see her in the role of Princess Margaret alongside Olivia Colman as the Queen. The actor replacing Matt Smith as Prince Phillip is yet to be announced but we cannot wait to find out!
