If you thought poinsettias only came in red, it's time to rethink...in pink! This striking little Christmas houseplant is now available in this year's most trendy shade 'millennial pink' - and we think they look lovely.
While pink poinsettias already existed, this particular pale variety, known as J'Adore, was bred from parent plants and has an extra 'swirl' of bracts, making the flowers look fuller.
It's only available at Wyevale Garden Centres.
“Red poinsettias will always be hugely popular around Christmas time, but more and more people are moving away from traditional colours when decorating their home and opting for alternative themes of white, purple or pink," says Jamie Downes, Nursery Manager for Wyevale.
"Wyevale sells 80 per cent red poinsettias and 20 per cent other colours – up from 10 per cent in the last 25 years – and we have increased the coloured percentage again this year as we are so impressed with J’adore pink.”
The centres are expecting to sell 10,000 of the plants from now during the run-up to Christmas.
