Some 17 million Tesco Clubcard members will be receiving a new-look Clubcard and key fobs through the letterbox in the next few days. The dark-blue card is now contactless so you can tap it at the till to earn Clubcard points. Tesco says this will save customers time at the checkouts.
Tesco is also lowering the deals threshold level for Tesco Clubcard Rewards Partners, which will allow customers to increase the value of their vouchers from as little as 50p. Hotels.com and Uber are the latest partners to join the scheme.
The retailer has also improved the Tesco Clubcard app. New customers can now sign up to Clubcard straight away in store. And existing customers will be able to access their vouchers at the checkout. However, customers can still opt to receive the old-style paper vouchers.
Existing cards will continue to work until the new-look one arrives. The retailer will also have 2,500 Clubcard Champions on hand across the country to help customers with any questions they might have about the changes.
