Looking for the best kettle and toaster to upgrade your kitchen? Make your space the height of sophistication with a stylish and high-performing matching kettle and toaster set. While some of the best kettle and toaster sets come ready to buy as a pair, many require a bit of searching to find the perfect match. That’s where we come in.

In this guide, we’ve rounded up top-rated options that deliver both exceptional performance and standout style. Whether you’re after sleek stainless steel or bold retro designs, we’ve found the best combinations to elevate your countertop.

When choosing the best toaster for your needs, look for features like slice capacity, custom browning settings, reheat and defrost functions, and durable materials. A good toaster should be fast, consistent, and easy to clean - perfect for busy mornings. Don't forget, there are both 4-slot and 2-slice toaster options to consider.

Equally important is the kettle. The best kettles offer fast boiling times, quiet operation and energy-efficient performance. Many models also include temperature control settings, ideal for brewing different types of tea and coffee. Whether you prefer a compact design for a smaller kitchen or a large-capacity kettle for frequent use, there’s a perfect option to suit your needs and style.

Best kettle and toaster sets at a glance:

How we tested the best kettle and toaster sets:

Firstly, we looked at new and popular kettles and toasters from the leading brands in kitchen appliances, which included Breville, Russell Hobbs, De'Longhi, Morphy Richards, Tower, Sage and Smeg.

Once we selected our favourite products, we spent a month testing them, focusing on extensive criteria which included making notes on the capacity, boil speed, noise level, water gauge, cleaning and heaviness/overall feel of the kettles, as well as the functions, even toasting (on various bread items), cleaning process and ease of cleaning for the toasters.

We also commented on the sets as a whole, whether they look aesthetically pleasing and if they are small, bulky, colourful etc..

Price: $39.93 (was £49.99)

On first impressions, the Russell Hobbs kettle is lightweight but looks great on the counter, especially with the matching toaster. Our 79-year-old reviewer "appreciated the three red markers inside which let you see how much water you need to add for one, two or three cups", but said that some people might prefer to be able to "see this in a clear section on the side without lifting the lid". Luckily, they found it very easy to lift the kettle lid off, compared to others that they've used in the past and could easily look inside whilst they were filling it up.

Like the kettle, the matching toaster is a lightweight entry-level toaster but offers good value for money from a well-respected brand. There are three settings – toast, reheat and defrost – and you can change the heat/toast level from 1-7 and stop it early if needed. Our tester said "The silver looks great but attracts finger marks. It has a crumb tray which makes it easier to clean up and it looks great on the side and would blend into most kitchen decors.

"When it comes to toasting, I can’t fault it – it toasts evenly on both sides and fits a standard size of bread. I have my doubts as to whether it would fit a larger slice than average but this is the case with most toasters I’ve tried. It fits both bread and bagels so sizeable enough. While it’s not ideal for larger families as it only has space for two slices, it’s ideal for a single person or couple."

Morphy Richards Signature Kettle and Toaster SetClaire Tapley/Yours.co.uk

Add a stylish flair to your kitchen with this sleek matte-finish Signature toaster and kettle set. The 1.5L kettle boils water fast with a powerful 3kW rapid boil, perfect for family brews or catch-ups with friends. Its anti-limescale filter ensures every cup tastes just right.

Our tester, Yours.co.uk Editor Claire Tapley really appreciated the limescale filter and said: "I live in a hard water area so I’m used to constantly needing to descale my kettle. I’ve had this kettle for about 9 months now and it’s still limescale free! I love how quickly it boils and it’s quiet too. The only thing to note is that you have to be careful to fully push the down the lid as it’s easy to not press it down hard enough and then it can come off when you’re pouring hot water!"

With a family of four our tester also loved the toaster’s long slot design that fits everything from bagels to sourdough, and with 7 browning settings, everyone gets their toast just how they like it.
“I like make my own fresh bread and love that the large slot design means I can fit in a full slice without me having to cut it.” Handy features like defrost and high-lift make mornings smoother, while the removable crumb tray and cord tidy keep your countertop clean and clutter-free.

Overall, our tester was really pleased with this kettle and toaster set saying; “I think the copper give it a stylish look that would complement any kitchen. Although I have noticed a little bit of the copper has worn off the toaster which is a shame. On the whole I think this is a good quality, stylish option.”

Best retro design kettle and toaster set

©Yours/Stephanie Spencer
Price: $249 (was £269)

www.very.co.uk

Smeg's iconic retro design offers a pop of colour and a premium enamelled finish, (excluding the handle). Our tester, Yours Hub Editor Stephanie Anthony said "Firstly this brand is iconic, I love to see it on my counter. We went for white but there are lots of other colour options available. I was a bit concerned the white would mark easily but it looks as clean as the day we got it".

Both devices are also easy to clean, so they will always look fresh. "They're both easy to clean, which is great, and the kettle doesn't seem to build up with limescale as much as our old one did, so that's a bonus."

With a generous capacity of 1.7 litres, Smeg's KLF03 kettle makes up to 7 cups of tea or coffee. She said, "The exterior is really easy to wipe down and gives a smart finish. The kettle boils quickly, it's been a pleasure to make cups of tea with it!" The spout has been specially designed with a balanced weight for an easy pour. "The elegant soft-opening lid not only looks beautiful but allows for easy filling and ensures that any condensation runs back into the kettle. "

The matching Smeg toaster is perfect for those who like to make a statement in the kitchen that's actually functional. "It can handle warming pastries, bagels and toasting treats"! It's important to note that it is only a 2-slot toaster, which Stephanie said "is on the small side if you prefer one with more slots, but I like that it doesn't take up as much counter space. It's ideal for two and we've had no issues toasting bread, pittas and more!"

Breville
Price: £19.98 (was £46)

Slim and sleek, the Breville Bold Cream Kettle and Toaster Set has a timeless design that will slot nicely into any kitchen. It features a glossy, ridged textured finish with high-shine chrome accents and illuminated controls for ease of use.

The kettle has a 1.7L capacity means there's enough water for up to eight cups in one go, and the concealed 3KW element makes for rapid boil technology. Customers praise the value, ease of use and appearance. Reviews love how easy functions are to select. One customer said that the kettle is lightweight, easy to fill and boil - and doesn't get too noisy. Any negatives? Opinions are mixed on the size, noise and quality. One customer says the time dial on the toaster is poorly designed and hard to read. As for the kettle, the power lead is quite short.

As for the toaster, it's stylish and has all the features you'd want. You can also adjust the width of the slots in the toaster for varying levels of bread thickness. Our top pick is a no-brainer for any kitchen. Ella, our reviewer has had the Breville Toaster for 6 months now and said "I use it most days and it toasts evenly every time. Once toasted it's easy to get the bread out as the toaster pops enough for me to grab it easily. Sour dough bread takes a little longer than normal bread in this toaster, but only by about a minute or so."

She feels that "The design is timeless and classic, and for the price, it's very good value." If she had to name one thing that could be improved, it would be the size of the crumb drawer. "The only issues I've found is that the crumb draw doesn't cover the whole of the base, so you do get escapee crumbs on the counter below, and the setting buttons are hard to see when they've not been pressed, so this may not be the best toaster for those with bad eyesight."

Pros

  • Rapid boil for convenience
  • Illuminated water window

Morphy Richards Motive Black Kettle and Toaster Set©YOURS/Samantha Ball
Price: $67.99 (was £84.99)

www.therange.co.uk

If you've got a busy house, you will love the Morphy Richards Motive Black Kettle and Toaster Set for its fast boiling, toasting and general ease of use. Our tester, Digital Writer Samantha is a mum-of-two said that "As a busy household we’re forever making cups of teas and slices of toast, so having a toaster and kettle set that was effective, quick and good quality is really important to us. "

The toaster has a four-slice capacity, which gives you flexibility to toast whatever your family fancies to eat. "I loved that you could toast up to four slices at a time, and found that it didn’t have trouble with thicker slices of bread or crumpets compared to my last toaster", Samantha says, "It also provides the right level of toasty-ness, and is easy to grab out, helping to avoid burnt fingers." However, she points out that "it is a bit stiff when pushing down the lever to start the toaster, but I feel like this wouldn’t be a bad thing as it’s a good safety feature".

As for the Motive Kettle, it has a large 1.7L capacity. "The kettle is a good capacity and easy to fill, with a handy finger button on top so you don’t burn or smudge your finger on the silver feature when closing the lid", Samantha adds. Whilst also being a good size for capacity, it's also "easy to carry thanks to the supportive handle." It also has safety features such as Boil Dry Protection. "I would say the boil time is fairly average, and it is accurate for how much water you get for a cup, compared to the estimates on the side of the kettle". All-in-all, Sam loves "how sleek the design looks".

Pros

  • The kettle includes a safety mechanism called 'Boil Dry Protection'
  • Toaster slots fit thick slices of bread with ease

Attentiv bundleAmazon/Russell Hobbs
Price: $124 (was £139)

www.very.co.uk

If you take breakfast very seriously, then this Russell Hobb's kettle and toaster bundle will be the perfect kitchen assistant. The Attentiv Toaster automatically monitors the heating time to make sure your bread is toasted to the shade of your liking.

Our reviewer, Digital Writer Hannah said: "As a big lover of loose-leaf tea, this kettle has been an absolute dream. It's sleek and easy to use, plus the removable infuser basket is no issue to clean, making it a convenient all-rounder. After only using budget kettles and toasters in the past, this upgrade has been a true luxury. Gone are the days of under-toasted bagels or burnt pitta bread, as this toaster ensures my bread is gold and perfect every time."

Perhaps the best part of this bundle is how much control you have over the temperature and timings, according to Hannah, "I know exactly what to expect every time I operate the appliances and am always shocked at how quickly even the full kettle takes to boil. If you are looking to upgrade and would like more energy and time-saving kettle and toaster bundle, this is a great choice."

If you love the ritual and taste of herbal tea, then there is even a removable tea infuser basket in the kettle, so you can brew the perfect cup. The easy-to-clean touchscreen surface and interface give you control of the settings, and the steep timer can help you to tailor the timing and exact temperatures, which range from 40°C – to 100°C.

Best kettle and toaster set for functionality

Textured kettles and toasters have been surging in popularity, and this set from Breville will add a touch of chic to any kitchen. The glossy ridged finish and colour choice of black will suit all kitchen interiors. The 3kW 1.7L kettle is easy to use with illuminated controls, a water window and an extra wide spout for accurate filling. What are the customer reviews saying?

From a few global ratings, this pick has garnered an average of 4.4/5 stars. One customer commented that it looks great in their kitchen and the toaster does a great job. We love the Art Deco style that Tower has brought to this toaster, kettle and canister set. Not only are they sleek and stylish, but they are great value, blending into any modern kitchen.

As for negatives, there aren't that many, other than the numbers on the dials are quite small and perhaps the design may not suit cottage or country kitchens, but this is down to preference!

Don't worry about getting thicker slices of bread or bagels stuck in the toaster as the slots have variable widths for precisely this reason. Keep your toaster clean with a removable crumb tray and there are variable browning options to get your toast just how you like it. It's a great pick.

Best premium kettle and toaster set

Sage is a brand you can trust time and time again. Delivering exceptional quality, the Sage kettle and toaster set comes in a modern matte black finish with chrome details.

From the reviews at Harts of Stur, the Sage set has an average rating of 4.8/5, with reviews praising its sleek, high-quality look and feel, as well as its functionality. Stylish, the kettle is said to be quiet to boil, pours well and the toaster has a good range of settings.

One customer, however, finds opening the kettle a little slow and loud, but loves the build. Reviews are mixed on how quietly the kettle boils, though. Some reviews do agree about how tricky it can be to see the water level indicators of the kettle.

With interesting features such as an Illuminated power switch and an LED screen on the toaster that counts down the time until your toast is perfectly toasted, this Sage set is at the forefront of technology. De'Longhi Ballerina Kettle Gold Yellow©YOURS/Arabella Horspool

The De’Longhi Ballerina sits next to the matching toaster on my kitchen counter. I love the colour - it’s more mustardy than bright yellow, which was just what I was after - plus, the lead and plug are the same colour too, which is a nice touch! The aesthetically pleasing shape, inspired by Venetian glasswork, also makes it a bit more unique than your average kettle.

The kettle itself is fast-boiling and holds up to 1.7 litres of water, I would say that it can get quite heavy when it's full, but you can boil enough for just one cup, thanks to the minimum capacity! It also has a handy swivel base. Cleaning it is simple, as there's a removable limescale filter that I found simple to reattach after I washed it.

De'Longhi Ballerina Toaster©YOURS/Arabella Horspool

The De’Longhi Ballerina 4-slice Gold Yellow Toaster has 4 wide slots, which are large enough to accommodate a variety of bread items, including muffins, crumpets, and bagels. I use it regularly, and it toasts each item pretty quickly.

A nifty element is the crumb trays, which you give a little press and they pop out (as if they are on a spring mechanism); this way, the crumbs are securely held inside the toaster until the drawers are emptied.

My only qualm is that it is a little plasticky and the buttons are quite small, so it can be hard to tell what each one does, but I'm sure I will get the hang of it over time.

Pros

  • 'Toast colour' indicator is clearly displayed and is easy to change

Sage the Smart KettleYours/Natalie Knowles

The Sage Smart Kettle features variable temperature control with five pre-set buttons for precise brewing of different teas and coffee. Our tester**,** commercial content writer Natalie Knowles, said, "It enhances tea and coffee flavour by unlocking delicate and rich tasting notes through its precise temperature control. Who knew certain types of green tea taste better when brewed with 80°C water?"

The brushed stainless steel kettle is efficient, with fast-boiling technology heats the water quickly, though Natalie says that "condensation can build up on the glass lid after use". However, on the plus side, "the spout is large for an even pour, and the removable filter catches limescale". It also has a keep-warm function that maintains water temperature for 20 minutes. It also includes an ergonomic, cool-touch handle, dual water indicators, and a soft-opening lid to prevent splashes.

So, is it worth the price? Natalie seems to think so! "This Sage kettle's outstanding build quality is worth its premium price point. The large, illuminated button controls are intuitive and easy to use, while the ergonomic, cool-touch handle is comfortable and safe during pouring."

Sage A Bit More 2-Slice ToasterYours/Natalie Knowles

The Sage 'A Bit More' two-slice toaster combines functionality with style in a sleek silver design. It offers features like the 'A Bit More' button for extra browning time, Quick Look™ to check progress without interrupting, and dedicated settings for crumpets and fruit bread. Our commercial content writer Natalie Knowles said that "it's a game-changer! It toasts bagels, crumpets, fruit bread, and toast to perfection, even from frozen".

Its robust brushed stainless steel design is slightly larger than average, but "with a concealed power cord storage, it tucks neatly away". Self-centring slots hold everything from thick bagels to slim slices, and four large buttons make it easy to customise your toasting.

The 'A Bit More' function adds extra crispness, and the illuminated status bar lets you track progress. "The Frozen button impressed me with evenly toasted, crispy bagels," our tester says. However, it's important to note that "it takes longer than typical toasters, but the results are perfectly crisp and evenly toasted". The exterior stays cool, and the appliance cools down quickly. Just make sure you change the setting before popping in your bread; as Natalie mentions, "Use a lower setting for fruit bread—no one wants burnt raisins!"

Buyers Guide

When buying the right toaster and kettle set for your home, there are a few things to consider...

Style may be our favourite factor when choosing a new countertop appliance set. Your toaster and kettle will live on your kitchen side, so we suggest selecting a design that looks great alongside your kitchen aesthetic. From retro designs to sleek stainless steel kettles and toasters, it's important to find the best kettle and toaster set that will suit your taste.

Capacity should come into play, too. Our advice? Think about how many cups of tea or coffee you usually make - and do you use kettles for making stock or filling up saucepans for pasta? We think a larger capacity is great for families. Whereas, a smaller kettle will suit couples or singles. As for toasters, it's down to the slices. Whilst two-slice models are great, four-slice toasters might be better for busy, and larger, households.

Features make a great addition to modern kitchen appliances. We love modern kettles - which can come with variable temperature settings for various hot drinks and rapid boil functions for speed - which helps if you're in a hurry! And, for toasters, they are much more versatile nowadays - complete with wider slots for sourdough and bagels, helpful defrost settings or even a warming rack for pastries.

Ease of cleaning helps us all. Thankfully, removable crumb trays in toasters and kettles with washable filters make upkeep a breeze. This way, your appliances will be kept fresh and hygienic with little hassle!

Top-quality appliances mean you're getting your money's worth. We recommend (and have chosen) trusted brands - from Breville to Sage to Smeg - which are made from robust materials. This way, your pick will stand the test of time (and hard water areas, hopefully!). As for materials, stainless steel and high-quality plastic are a little more durable. Make sure to check reviews on durability.

Energy efficiency is something we all need to think about - since electricity prices seem to be on the rise (yet again). If you can afford them, we recommend considering energy-efficient models - particularly if you use them daily - as they will help save on bills. Kettles can have "quick-boil" settings and some toasters can have energy-saving features. We've included some money-saving sets.

Hopefully, you can find a functional (yet super stylish) set for your home...

FAQs

Do my kettle and toaster have to match?

Your kettle and toaster don't have to match if you don't want them to. However, a matching set makes for a more streamlined and cohesive kitchen. If you want your kitchen to look put together, matching your kettle and toaster to other appliances will mean a more aesthetically pleasing design all around.

Where to buy kettle and toaster sets?

There are a number of places you can buy matching sets. Some of our favourite places to buy from are Harts of Stur, Dunelm, Curry's and even Amazon. Even if they don't come as a set, you can nearly always find a matching counterpart from the same store.
