Key Features
This bumper appliance has a 9.5L capacity whilst being streamlined. A whole 1.5kg roast chicken fits in each drawer, so there's ample space to feed up to eight people.
It is energy-efficient, using up to 55% less energy than an oven. Plus, minimal oil is required, so it's a healthier form of cooking.
It's a dual drawer air fryer with a difference. The Ninja Double Stack XL has independent drawers and stacked meal racks, so you can cook four foods at once on separate levels. Thanks to the addition of racks, the Ninja Double Stack XL has solved the problem of cooking layers of food in an air fryer, so you don't need to shake or turn food to get even crispness. Food is crispy from top to bottom.
The sync function allows you to cook two different foods in separate drawers and ensures both finish cooking simultaneously. Plus, a match function sets the time and temperature of both drawers to the same settings – ideal for batch cooking bread rolls.
Elevate your cooking with the Ninja Pro Connect app, which gives you live cooking updates and finish times on your phone.
What do we think of the Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer?
The Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer was tried-and-tested in a domestic kitchen. Our tester cooked a variety of foods, including chips, meat, breaded tofu, and courgettes. It's an air fryer about the same size as a coffee machine, and yet having previously tested the Ninja Dual Zone AF300EU Air Fryer we found the drawers to be considerably larger in the Double Stack.
If you're looking for a Ninja air fryer with an even larger capacity, consider the Ninja Foodi FlexDrawer Dual Air Fryer AF500UK, which holds a whopping 10.4L and is currently £268.98. While our tester loved it, she did note that it is a rather large appliance.
The Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer has a different design to previous models. Our tester observed that the heating element is located at the rear of the appliance, rather than the top. The back of each drawer has perforations, so hot air from the fan can reach the food. However, as a result, our tester felt that food tended to cook faster at the back of the drawer. Also, because the drawers are larger, some foods – such as chips – took slightly longer to cook.
Our tester really liked the ability to divide the drawers into an upper and lower area using racks. There's much more versatility for cooking several foods at once. She prepared a complex meal for friends, utilising the air fryer's four levels and drawers. This dual drawer appliance can cook an entire Christmas dinner, and the Sync function ensures that roast potatoes and roast chicken are cooked simultaneously with perfect results.
The Max Crisp function uses this air fryer's highest temperature (240°C) to give chips an extra crispy finish. That's an impressive temperature output compared to other air fryers. Plus, it's fine to cook directly from frozen and like all air fryers, just a spritz of oil or none will still result in crispy fries.
Our Verdict: Ninja Double Stack XL Air Fryer
In conclusion, our tester felt that the design of the Ninja Double Stack is an improvement on previous models, due to its slimmer footprint and larger capacity. It also boasts a very good range of pre-set cooking functions and versatility, thanks to its cooking racks.
In a small kitchen it's much more practical than a standard dual drawer air fryer. However, given the usual high quality of Ninja appliances, our tester was not so impressed with the uneven browning as food cooked faster at the back of the drawer.
Studios or apartments will benefit from this nifty countertop appliance that has a similar footprint to a coffee machine. For a one or two-person household it makes a cost-effective replacement for conventional oven cooking. Alternatively, the Ninja Double Stack is an ideal compact cooking unit for a holiday home or a campervan.
Yes, it's an upstanding air fryer and with over £80 off this Black Friday – that's Christmas all wrapped up, thanks to Ninja🎁.

Black Friday FAQs
What is Black Friday?
This huge event originated in America, with tech and electronic goods such as smart TVs going on sale right after Thanksgiving to entice customers to begin their Christmas shopping. Now that it’s moved over to the UK, you’ll find massive discounts on everything, not just tech, and it's now the biggest event of the year for retailers.
Is it worth waiting until Black Friday?
While Black Friday officially falls on 29 November 2024, several brands, such as Amazon, John Lewis, Boots, Debenhams, and more, offered many deals and discounts throughout November. But, as we've just seen, there are a few amazing price drops on the day itself. So, the smart thing would be to grab the best offer out there while it lasts!
Is Black Friday or Cyber Monday better for deals?
While Black Friday is the biggest sale event for most brands and retailers, many of those discounts stay live until Cyber Monday. Brand new discounts and deals will be offered for Cyber Monday specifically as well, so it would be worth keeping an eye on our deal pages. We will be updating them with the latest deals on products that you love.
When do Black Friday sales end?
In recent years, we've seen Black Friday sales start several days (or even weeks) before Black Friday, 29th November. They typically continue through the weekend into Cyber Monday. Many retailers keep their discounts available until the end of Cyber Monday, which falls on Monday, December 2nd. Some retailers may continue their sales for the week after Black Friday, also known as Cyber Week.
