While this is undoubtedly a really good window vac, it’s not flawless. “The instructions were somewhat limited, but it's pretty easy to figure out yourself as it's just so straightforward to use,” Emily said. “Also, the addition of the spray bottle with microfibre cloth is great, but I do wish you got more than 20ml of window cleaning concentrate included."

The Kärcher WV 1 doesn’t have any fancy additional features, but it does offer excellent area coverage of up to 70m², and it’s our best value option for window cleaning. It’s very lightweight and versatile, with reviewers recommending it for small jobs: “It helps to keep you on top of any cleaning, use it directly after a shower/bath or if you spill liquids on any surface. It takes the effort out of cleaning”

There isn’t any added tech, and no pricey chemicals needed, so if you’re looking for a cost-effective solution to window cleaning that’ll easily erase any stubborn smudging and grime, then Kärcher’s WV 1 is the perfect choice for your home. The results are just as good as many pricier options.

The Bosch Cordless Window Vac GlassVAC is a great alternative to Kärcher’s window vac monopoly, with reviewers highlighting the advantage of having 2 different blade options: “Having Georgian type windows, the option of two wiper blade widths is really well thought out. I’m now also using it for other things I’d never thought of before such as cleaning/vacuuming my shower screen and bathroom tiles. Would highly recommend!”

The Bosch GlassVac is practically half the price of the Kärcher WV 6, but still comes with added extras such as a microfibre cloth attachment and the aforementioned different wipers. It’s a great affordable option and does a fab job at removing smears. We also love that it’s lightweight, making it easier for those who may have any form of arm or shoulder impingement.

Vileda’s WindoMatic is ideal for eliminating water stains and condensation from windows, as well as shower doors and mirrors, and reviewers love it for that, with one stating: “It’s fantastic for cleaning the shower and great getting rid of condensation- we have a lot of windows that steam up and it works so well.”

While not as technologically impressive as Kärcher’s line-up, it certainly feels like a quality product that is designed with convenience and performance in mind. It's also the lightest window vac in our roundup, weighing just 640g, which the reviewer found really beneficial. “I have a bad shoulder but it’s so lightweight it doesn’t bother me at all.”
Our only major gripe is with its charging time, which leaves much to be desired. Nonetheless, Vileda’s WindoMatic remains a window vac worth paying for.

The Beldray BEL0749 Cordless Rechargeable Window Vacuum is the cheapest vac in our list, and we think it’s a great affordable option with some solid cleaning capabilities. It might not give you the perfect glow that the Kärcher’s WV 6 plus delivers, reviewers are still super pleased with the results. 

“Gone are the days of shower screens that look all blotchy and smeared with water marks... and my patio doors now sparkle... Super, super easy to use and the battery life is brilliant! I'd defo recommend this,” said one. 

It offers 30 minutes of usage before it needs charging, removes grime and leaves windows streak-free, plus emptying the 60ml tank is easy – just pour the dirty water out and you're ready to put it away until the next time.

The Beldray Cordless Window Vac is super stylish, but more importantly, it is so lightweight and easy to hold. It takes 2-3 hours to charge, and that gives about 30 minutes of operating time. It also comes with a squeegee head for removing excess water, which is especially helpful for shower screens. 

It does a good job of delivering a streak free shine to windows, but it’s not without its faults. One reviewer noted “I had to keep the vacuum upright to avoid the collected water leaking." However, they still felt the Beldray cleaned well, although it took a few minutes to figure out how the water tank worked and how to hold it properly.
