This mask is really easy and straightforward to set up and use. The portable battery which plugs into the mask is easy to charge and took just a few hours. Once fully charged, simply plug the battery into the cable of the mask, pop the mask on and click the button.
The cable is long enough to easily fit into the hand when wearing it and short enough for it not to get in the way. I’ve not had to charge up the battery yet and have been using it a few times per week for a month which is impressive.
You use the mask on clean, dry skin. Simply pop some serum on your skin and pop the mask on. We personally used the Priori serum but you are able to use your favourite if you prefer. I tended to use the mask for 10 minutes in the evening 2-3 times per week.
As someone who has a history of rosacea in the family, I tend to suffer from redness of the face and an uneven skin tone, so my main hope for this mask was that it would even out the tone of my skin while making it appear brighter.
The results aren’t instant, and this is certainly a product that has to be used overtime to see the full results.
Personally, I found it really worked for me, even in the space of a month. To test this out, I tried a week without using the mask and my skin tone became much more red around the cheeks, it felt far less firm and I even developed blemishes.
Although you might look a little scary when wearing the mask (trust us, it’s worth taking a selfie while you’ve got it on), it doesn't feel like anything is happening on your skin. It is worth trying this on a patch of your skin before using it on your face just to check your skin doesn't react.
When you wear the mask, it’s pretty impossible to do anything other than have a lie down and close your eyes, making it a great opportunity to have a bit of you time. Take that 10 minutes to meditate, listen to some music or a podcast or even call back that person you’ve been meaning to phone! Alternatively, have a good nap! The beauty of having an automatic off switch means you can truly relax with the mask on without having to worry about a timer as the button automatically switches the mask on for 10 minutes only.
What are the pros?
I love that this mask is flexible and moulds around the face, fastening with a velcro attachment meaning it feels really comfortable to wear.
The fact this mask comes with a little canvas bag for when you’re going away is a huge pro for me as I know it’s safe and protected.
It couldn’t be easier to set up and get started with.
I truly noticed a difference in my skin, especially when I stopped using it so I have no doubt that it works.
What are the cons?
Although the mask is pretty flexible, I found that it didn’t get close enough to my chin area, so I was concerned I wasn’t getting the full effects of the mask on my whole face.
When you open your eyes after wearing the mask it does take a good few seconds for your eyes to adjust. I personally have no eye sight issues but I imagine this could be concerning if you do.
Unlike some of the other masks on the market, this mask doesn't offer different settings.
Is it worth the money?
There’s no denying £340 is a lot of money for most of us. And if you’re not big on skincare and anti-aging products, this mask is probably not one for you. When comparing it to other masks on the market, this particular mask is fairly reasonable, with the market leader costing over £400 with one even costing over £1,000!
If this mask is a little out of your budget, don't worry. There are plenty of budget friendly brands such as Lux Skin who offer LED masks at much more affordable prices.
Would you recommend the PRIORI UNVEILED mask?
If you’re serious about skincare, I can’t recommend having an LED mask as part of your skincare routine enough, especially if you suffer from fine lines, redness and blemishes. For me, this mask is the best on the market thanks to its flexibility and portability compared to its competitors.
Yes, it’s expensive, but when you consider how many years you will use this for, it is certainly worth investing in - even more so when you think about any expensive lotions and facials this mask could replace.
