I tried the Lustre LED Mask for 6 months and now celebs keep asking about my skincare routine

As I sat down to talk to reality TV star Lucy Watson, her first comment was, "Wow, your skin is so glowy." I beamed with delight. This wasn't the first time a celebrity had complimented my skin; in fact, it was becoming a regular thing. I knew exactly when the change happened... Since I began testing the Lustre ClearSkin Revive LED Mask for this review.

I have to admit, skincare is my passion. I’ve tested everything from the best products for mature skin to the latest serum. As a mum of three small children, I rarely get the recommended six hours of sleep and often forget to drink my two litres of water. However, skincare can often be the first thing to get dropped when the to-do list starts to mount up, but one thing I never skip is my Sunday Lustre LED face mask.

What is the Lustre Clearskin Revive LED Mask, and how does it work?

If you’ve spent any time scrolling social media lately, you’ve probably seen someone looking like a futuristic superhero in one of those glowing LED anti-ageing masks. Among them, the Lustre Clearskin Revive LED Mask has quietly become a favourite for anyone serious about their skin but short on time.

At its core, the Lustre Clearskin Revive is a wearable LED light therapy mask designed to help calm breakouts, boost radiance, and support skin renewal, all from the comfort of your sofa. It uses clinically proven wavelengths of blue and red light that work beneath the surface of your skin, targeting the bacteria that cause blemishes while also helping to reduce inflammation and encourage cell repair.

Think of it as a mini spa treatment that fits into real life, because with the current economic climate, a monthly trip to the beauty salon is out of most budgets.

The technology itself isn’t new; LED therapy has been used by dermatologists and facialists for years, particularly for its ability to stimulate collagen and reduce redness. What Lustre has done is make that technology portable, cordless, and surprisingly easy to use. You simply secure the lightweight mask to your face, choose your light setting, and let it do the work. I'll be the first to admit, you do look a little scary. Honestly, I think you would give Darth Vader a run for his money, but it's a small price to pay for perfect skin and in the privacy of your own home, you don't feel too silly.

The Verdict:

What I didn't expect to see were the results so quickly after starting my sacred weekly virtual. Within the first few months, my skin looked noticeably calmer, and by three months, it was clearer. It does require a level of commitment; for the best results, you need to do this consistently. However, as a completely non-invasive treatment, it’s a fantastic option suitable for most skin types, even sensitive ones.

In a world where we’re all trying to carve out a little more time for self-care, the Lustre Clearskin Revive LED Mask feels like the kind of beauty tech that actually fits real life: low effort, and quietly transformative. The straps could be a tad longer if I were really trying to find a fault but overall it's a comfortable wear.
