We'll watch anything from writer, producer and director Jed Mercurio (aka the creator of Line of Duty) so we were excited to hear he is one of the executive producers of ITV's new drama Trigger Point, starring none other than LOD's Vicky McClure.

What is the plot of Trigger Point?

This high-octane six-part thriller series from ITV focuses on the officers who risk their lives daily on ‘the long walk’ towards danger. For them, death is always just a heartbeat away.

When a terrorist campaign threatens the capital over the summer, the experienced bomb disposal operatives are at the forefront of urgent efforts to find out who is behind the bombings before fatalities escalate.
