Your Autumn bucket list


1. Kick up some leaves
2. Collect conkers, acorns or pine cones

3. Visit a deer park to see the males rutting (and look for Rudolph!)
4. Make jams, chutneys or other preserves
5. Pick sloes for making sloe gin

6. Spot a squirrel burying nuts for winter (bonus points for red squirrels)
7. Carve a pumpkin
8. ...Then bake the pumpkin seeds for a healthy snack

9. Leave cat food in the garden for hedgehogs or build a hedgehog house
10. Make a steaming mug of mulled wine, spiced cider or hot chocolate

11. Buy a soft and snuggly new jumper
12. Light a bonfire, or visit a pub with a roaring log fire

13. Get your winter woollies out of the cupboard
14. Put the heating back on

16. Visit your nearest coastline for a blustery beach walk

17. Light sparklers with the grandchildren
