Edith Nesbit’s, The Railway Children, was one of our favourite books when we were young, which is why we’re so excited that a sequel of the much-loved book is now out. The famous story of The Railway Children has been celebrated through TV series, film adaptations and stage versions but this is the first sequel to the story.
Written by author Lou Kuenzler, the sequel to the classic novel introduces us to new characters and some familiar faces at Three Chimneys. To celebrate the release of the new series, pupils from the local Worth Valley Primary School, Bracken Bank school have been invited to a special event at Oxenhope Railway Station.
Do you remember this famous scene from the 1970 film?
During the event, pupils will get to meet the author of the sequel and hear all about it! The celebrations will also coincide with this year’s 50 anniversary of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway!
