Fans of Les Misérables will be delighted to hear that the hit musical is now being transformed into a TV adaption and we cannot wait to see it. This won’t be the first time the musical is being transformed for screen following the 2012 film starring Hugh Jackman, Eddie Redmayne and Anne Hathaway.
The TV series is being broadcast over Christmas on BBC One and the musical will feature a star studded cast.
Star of Broadchurch and soon to play the Queen in The Crown, Olivia Colman will be taking on the part of Madame Thénardier.
Daughter of Phil Collins, 28-year-old Lily has starred in a host of Hollywood films and will be playing Fantine in Les Mis.
The 48-year-old actor will be playing Jean Valjean.
42-year-old actor David who you may recognise from Selma, the story of Martin Luther King Jr, will be playing Javert.
20-year-old British actress Ellie will be taking on the role of Cosette.
You may recognise Josh from The Durrells and now he’ll be taking on the role of Marius.
The six-part adaptation will begin on December 30th at 9pm. Watch the trailer below…
