The cobbles of Coronation Street have remained remarkably unchanged over the past 57 years. It's perhaps one of the keys to its popularity - while the modern world is ever-changing, you can always turn to Corrie for old-fashioned charm.
Now the soap is expanding its set in a most dramatic way, with an expanded set. The brand new set, which will be used in addition to the existing street, brings a taste of modern life to the characters, including a Costa Coffee and a Co-op.
Other additions will include a specially commissioned mosaic memorial bench, which is a touching tribute to superfan Martyn Hett and the other people who lost their lives in the Manchester Arena bombing.
There will also be eateries, an urban garden, a tramstop and a police station - all of which will no doubt be the backdrops for plenty of drama!
The road of the new set is a piece of history, as it's made from reclaimed cobbles that were once used on the old Quay Street site, which was home to the residents of Coronation Street from 1982 - 2013.
Victoria Street will be part of the action from April 20th onwards, and has been officially opened for filming by members of the cast.
