Make a natural exfoliator
For a fantastic natural exfoliator, mix together coconut oil and coconut sugar. It contains no hidden nasties and doubles up as great moisturiser to leave skin feeling great to touch, see and smell. Great for using on your your face and body!
Make a home-made washing detergent
To make approximately 200g of detergent, grab a mixing bowl and mix 150g of coconut oil, 55ml of water, 25g of bicarbonate of soda and a drop of perfume to create a natural detergent - the mixture will leave clothes smelling fresh!
Make a healthy furniture polish
Coconut oil makes a great furniture polish, it’s natural and works like beeswax and doesn’t contain the chemicals like the products in the shops. Rub a small amount onto furniture surfaces and leave the area to dry, it will nourish wooden surfaces and help avoid cracking.

While in the shower, melt your coconut oil by running the jar under the warm water. Then, after shampooing, apply a generous amount of the oil to wet strands and twist hair up into a bun. Let it sit for at least five minutes before rinsing to add moisture and shine back into limp locks.
