Best Scandi alternative Christmas tree

Description

If you're short on space then this tree is for you! Crafted from natural branches this wall-hanging tree has a cool Scandinavian feel. It's pre-lit too, so no fiddling with attaching cables. Keep it plain and neutral or dress it up with baubles and festive foliage.

Review: "I love it! We have an 18-month-old and also live in a flat without a massive amount of room for a tree so this was perfect! The only thing I would say is the lights look like they should come from the star and go down all the string not just some sides but you could add more if you wanted to. But I really am happy with it and will use it even if I put an actual tree up in the future! 10 out of 10!"

Pros

  • Easy to install
  • Good value for money

Cons

  • Requires 3 AA batteries
  • Battery pack is heavy

FAQ

Is it more environmentally friendly to have a real or fake Christmas tree?

According to The Carbon Trust, you’d have to use an artificial tree for at least 10 years in order to have the same level of carbon footprint as a real Christmas tree. Artificial trees are often made from plastic and are imported whereas most real Christmas trees are purposely planted for the occasion, on purpose-built farms. This means that they’re grown safely and are not ripped out of a forest, as you might imagine. Plus as they are growing, they actually remove carbon from the atmosphere.

How do you show Christmas tree ornaments without a tree?

There are so many ways to display your favourite ornaments without a tree. Here are just a few...

• Use them in lieu of place cards

• As a table centrepiece

• Fill a vase

• Make a wreath

• String them up in a window

• Hang outside
