Making Up and Finishing:

Weave in all loose ends and gently steam block. Cut the gold leather or leather-look strap into two 50cm (20in) lengths and sew straps in place using the photographs for guidance.

For the ridges: Join yarn B around the post of any tr in a yarn B stripe. Work 1dc around the post of each tr stitch in the same yarn B row travelling perpendicular to the direction the tote was crocheted in. Slip stitch in first dc to join and fasten off. Repeat for each yarn B row.

Sew the lining and attach to inside of the tote.

  • Yours tip:

Why not play with colours for the yarn, strap and lining? Try subtle pastels, clashing neons, or even fruity brights!
