Calling all cosy crime fans! If you’re missing shows like Vera or Death in Paradise, you’re in for a treat as Adrian Dunbar is returning to our screens as the brooding yet brilliant retired detective in Ridley season 2.
The first series of the ITV drama (which aired in 2022) saw the ex-cop struggling to cope with the heartbreaking loss of his wife and daughter in a tragic arson. As he adjusts to life after this devastating event, he finds himself reluctantly pulled back into the world of crime-solving, teaming up with the local police to investigate cases across Northern England.
Now, he’s reunited with DI Carol Farman - his former protégé and now lead investigator - played by Bronagh Waugh (best known for The Fall and soon to star in the upcoming drama In Flight). Together, they take on a variety of cases, from jewellery thefts to a murder at an illegal rave, racing against the clock to reveal the truth and bring justice. Expect familiar faces, new characters, and stunning countryside backdrops.
