Prince George is second in line to the throne after his father, Prince William but there's much more to know about the eldest of Cambridge children.
What year was Prince George born?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's first child George Alexander Louis was born at 4.24pm on 22 July 2013. It was announced he would be formally known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.
The Duke and Duchess left the hospital with baby George on 23 July. They stopped briefly on the steps of the Lindo Wing, giving the public the very first glimpse of the new prince.

Prince George's christening
Baby George was christened on the 23 October 2013 at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace by The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.
He wore the hand-made replica of the Royal Christening Robe, made by Angela Kelly, Dressmaker to The Queen, in keeping with Royal tradition.
Prince George's siblings
George became a big brother on May 2 2015 to Princess Charlotte. He became a big brother for the second time on 23 April 2018, following the birth of Prince Louis.
Prince George's education
After attending Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk, George joined Thomas's School in Battersea.
While it's unknown if Prince George will attend a boarding school as his father did, his current school takes children up until age 13 so he may remain there.
Royal appearances
Prince George often accompanies his parents on royal tours and engagements. His first of which was in April 2014 when he spent three weeks in New Zealand and Australia.
He made his first public appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace following the Trooping the Colourparade marking the Queen's Official Birthday in June 2015.
In September 2020, Prince George and his siblings met David Attenborough and Kensington Palace released a video of the children asking David questions regarding environmental conservation.
As he's grown older, Prince George has made more and more appearances in public. He was present for a lot of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee and was seen excitedly enjoying the Platinum Party at the Palace with his family on 4 June 2022.
Prince George also joined his parents for his debut at Wimbledon where he watched the Gentlemen's Singles Final in the Royal Box on 10 July 2022. In images shared of the event, he can be seen engrossed in the game while his parents lean over to explain details of the match.
