Why Tess Daly wants to move to New Zealand

We’ve all returned to a rainy England following a hot holiday abroad and fantasised about moving somewhere warmer! And whilst for most of us it remains a dream, a move may be on the cards for Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly.

After spending many holiday’s over in New Zealand where her sister Karen lives, Tess has admitted she would love to “escape the British winters” to New Zealand as she misses her sister "terribly".

“Every time we visit my sister Karen in New Zealand, I spend the next two months Googling properties and dreaming of escaping the British winter. It's summer over there, and it's gorgeous. I miss my sister terribly, because we're so close. I love the laid-back way of life. The people are friendly, the food's incredible, the climate's great, the landscape is beautiful.” She said to the Daily Star newspaper.

It’s not just Tess who wants to move there either as her youngest daughter Amber, eight, also wants to move there to be closer to her cousins. The 48 year-old revealed to the Daily Star newspaper, "My youngest is forever saying to me, 'Mummy, can we please move to New Zealand, because I just want to be near my cousins?' It breaks my heart. I grew up with my cousins so close by.”
