Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate it than having a tipple (along with plenty of chocolate and Easter eggs of course). Whether you enjoy something creamy and sweet or a little festive fizz, there’s a cocktail recipe to suit everyone.

What is an Easter cocktail?

From Easter-themed mimosas to mudslides and even a Mini Egg martini, there's an Easter cocktail out there - no matter your taste.

Unlike with Christmas cocktail recipes, there isn't one particular drink that is associated with Easter. Although Snowballs and mulled wine will be back again before you know it, hosting for this holiday allows you to get a little creative.

Bailey's Milkshake Spring Shakedown

Whether you're inviting friends and family around for dinner or looking for a way to spice up a romantic night in, Bailey's has created the dreamiest and most delicious cocktail, Milkshake Spring Shakedown, which will go down a treat.


100ml Baileys Original Irish Cream

2 hollow Easter eggs (around 100g each)

6 scoops vanilla ice cream (360ml)

100ml double cream (whipped)

20ml chocolate sauce

Toasted chopped hazelnuts and chocolate flakes to garnish

Extra toppings – mini eggs

mint leaves

raspberries or a macaroon


Step one: Start making your Bailey's Milkshake Spring Shakedown by breaking the tip off your Easter egg.

Step two: Once you've helped yourself to some chocolate, blend the Baileys with ice cream and then pour it into your chocolate egg. Yes, really!

Step three: Complete this cocktail by adding whipped cream, chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, mini eggs and chocolate sprinkles.
