As the proud owner of two wonderful senior pups, Bailey and Toby, both 15 years old (where does the time go?), I’ve come to understand that ageing dogs need a bit more TLC, especially when it comes to staying active. That’s why I started looking for a high-quality dog stroller that could support their changing needs. After reading countless reviews and comparing features, I decided to try the Gen7 G7 Jogger Pet Stroller and it turned out to be one of the best choices I’ve made for their comfort and quality of life.
Long walks used to be a cherished daily ritual for the three of us, along with their younger brother Otis. But over the past couple of years, I noticed that the older two are tiring more quickly, especially during colder days or when the terrain wasn’t perfectly flat. That’s when I knew we needed a better solution. The Gen7 G7 Jogger Pet Stroller promised comfort, convenience, and mobility and it has absolutely delivered.

Assembly
When the stroller arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy and well-built it was. The frame felt durable, but it wasn’t too heavy for me to handle on my own. Assembly was straightforward - I had it put together in under 15 minutes without any tools. To collapse the dog stroller, you simply press a button on the handle with one hand, and it folds down - it's that easy.
The design is sleek and modern, which I appreciated. I didn’t feel like I was pushing around a “baby stroller for dogs”; it looks more like serious outdoor gear.
Performance
I’ve taken the stroller through pavements, grass, mud and even some mild gravel paths in our neighbourhood park. Thanks to the air-filled tires and shock absorbers, it rolls smoothly on almost any terrain. The front wheel can swivel or lock, so if we’re on a bumpy path, I lock it for stability.
I love that the handlebar is adjustable. I’m about 5’4” and it sits at the perfect height for me. There’s also a parent tray with two cup holders and a compartment for keys or my phone, which is super convenient.

The only thing I'll say is that it's very large and long, which is great, but you do feel like you're taking up a lot of the path on walks, so you may need to reverse a few times to let people through.
Comfort
The Gen7 G7 has plenty of room; my dogs are both small and only a few pounds each, there's plenty of room to lie down in there, but they enjoyed snuggling up next to each other - we could easily fit our third dog Otis in there, if we needed to! The interior is spacious and padded, with a soft bottom that seemed to support their joints nicely.
The best part? The smart canopy. It opens up and over the top, giving them plenty of headroom and ventilation. On sunny days, it provides shade and during breezy mornings, I can zip them in to keep the chill out. They both genuinely seem to enjoy riding in it.

Final thoughts
If you have senior dogs - or dogs recovering from surgery, or just small breeds who can’t keep up on long walks - I can’t recommend the Gen7 G7 Jogger Pet Stroller enough. It’s high-quality, easy to use, and has made our daily outings joyful again. I no longer worry about whether my dogs can keep up; I know they’re safe, comfortable, and happy.
Honestly, seeing Max with his head poking out of the canopy, ears in the wind and tail wagging, makes every walk worth it.
