How did this product make your life easier?

When the ongoing hot weather had turned my living room into a tinder box, this fan cooled it all down within one minute.

While I was worried such a tall fan would be bulky to move around and take up lots of storage space, I actually found it surprisingly lightweight to move into different rooms while its slim shape meant it could be discretely stored in a corner when I wasn’t using it.

For all its lightweight slim look, though, this was a surprisingly powerful fan, with all three speed settings offering an instantly cooling blast. Because it’s so tall, the fan also really spreads its cooling effect around the room, rather than just targeting it at one specific spot, especially once you turn on the oscillating function which makes the fan move back and forth.

Even better, unlike many fans, it has a consistent and relatively quiet noise, meaning it's great to use at night when you're trying to sleep in the heat. I'm an incredibly light sleeper who can't stand any noise at all while I'm trying to sleep, but I was surprised to find having this fan on didn't disturb me at all and actually helped me get a much better sleep overall as I wasn't so hot and bothered.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Tall fans that pack a powerful breeze while also being lightweight and easy to store are hard to come by but I think this fan manages to do both effortlessly.

The oscillating function and the fact the tower is so tall really helps cool a whole room rather than just blowing air at a specific point or relying on you angling the fan at just the precise spot you need it.

The three different speeds also really cater for whatever you're after. I found the slowest speed ideal for just keeping the background temperatures cool throughout the day and night, while the second speed was better for immediately cooling down a room quickly when it had become too hot. The third speed came into its own when I took it along to a meeting in a big, stuffy hall at which point it immediately cooled down the room and everyone in it meaning the fan's presence has definitely been requested again at the next meeting.

Some fans will obviously offer a higher level of technology and advanced cooling but for the price, this fan really delivers on the basics, cooling you down quickly and conveniently without taking up the whole house and creating a racket.

What changes would you make to this product?

The fan boasts a couple of additional functions including ‘natural breeze’ and ‘night’ setting but I found these somewhat redundant. On both settings, the fan turns off and on sporadically to create a more ‘natural’ feeling of breeze although I have to say I don’t think the constant on and off noise of that would be particularly conducive to sleep and was just quite irritating.

Because of its height, the fan also sometimes looks like it might topple over at any moment so might not be ideal for a really busy household in which children and dogs might be rushing by.

Would you recommend this product?

Absolutely. For a fan that does exactly what it says on the tin, offering powerful cooling at an affordable price, you can't do much better.

The fact it can be operated by a remote control also makes it ideal for those moments when you're too hot to even move or want to control the temperature from bed.
