How did this product make your life easier?

The Blue 3210 air purifier is an inoccuous looking cylander that you can get up and running with the touch of a single button. On the auto setting it is so quiet you would barely know it’s doing anything if it wasn’t for the single LED that lights up to indicate the current air quality. There is, if you stand over it, a gentle cool airflow emanating from the device – but that’s it. Consequently when I went to bed on the first evening I’d placed it in our bedroom I was sceptical to say the least.

When I woke up I realised I hadn’t heard my husband snore in the night! My husband suffers terribly with hayfever and dust allergies and wakes up every morning very congested. But after one night with the Blue 3210 air purifier his sinuses were clearer and he could breathe more easily. After a few weeks his breathing is vastly improved (and although the snoring has returned a little it’s definitely lessened considerably).

Would you recommend this product?

I hadn’t previously really paid much attention to the air quality but we live in an old house that’s prone to dust, condensation and damp, especially in the bedroom. Combined with that we have a pet cat that seems to moult all year round, so I can see why the air in or bedoom would be less than perfect. I was really impressed by how easy the device is to set up and how quiet it is. In auto mode the Blue 3120 uses real-time sensors to automatically adjust the fan speed to maintain air quality. There are four modes, auto, night (silent), everyday and boosted, but we found the auto mode very effective – visably kicking into action when cookig smells or other obvious contaminates enter the room,

The styling is compact and very neutral and would sit comfortably in any environment and has the added advantage that it can be placed anywhere in the room because the air intake is 360 degrees. I feel reassured when I see the blue light, indicating good air quality and know that my husband has certainly felt the benefit.

I’ve also noticed that there’s consistently much less visible dust on surfaces in the room, which is an unexpected bonus.

Blue 3210 fits in any home

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

At £159 the Blue 3210 is very competitively priced, has a high-quality filtration system and is more stylish than many (which can look quite clinical). I’m very happy with the product and intend to buy another unit for downstairs.

What changes would you make to this product?

The filter needs to be replaced every six months and replacement filters cost around £23 so that needs to be factored into the running costs. It would be great it the unit came with a spare filter. I’ve not had to change one yet but the instruction manual looks very easy to follow.

One final thing, there’s very little information on the device itself so the addition of an associated smartphone app to give more detail on air quality could be beneficial.
