Greenworks 24v Cordless Lawnmower Trimmer

How did this product make your life easier?

Whilst we have always, in principle preferred a corded or petrol-powered lawnmower, this Greenworkscordless one provided a surprising amount of ‘oomph!’ and power for the task at hand (a 12 x 12ft approx garden).

The initial charge of the battery took about two hours and is easy to use (you can check the progress of the charge by pressing a button to see what 3-level stage it is at, to full charge) and after carefully reading the instructions (more about that later) and a little common sense in assembling the lawnmower, we were good to go in about 30 minutes from box to grass!

We found the lawnmower refreshingly light and easy to manoeuvre across our not-always-level grass lawn.

Although we found we had to guide the mower a little more vigorously around the corners and curves, that wasn’t too much of a problem as the trimmer was to hand, ready to pick off any errant, stubborn grass blades. Not having to dance around or be conscious of a trailing power lead also made the task at hand much easier.

Regarding the trimmer, other than the fact it was really simple to power – you just take the battery out of the lawnmower, slot it in the trimmer and go!

We found if we kept on top of our lawn, not letting the grass get too high or unruly, the battery just about lasted us through our mowing and trimming needs.

Would you recommend this product?

Yes, for sceptics of cordless lawnmowers, this really was a pleasant surprise. The lawnmoweris refreshingly light, easy to use and store away (foldable handles on both mower and trimmer), isn’t too bulky and looks pretty stylish.

Would you choose this product above all others on the market?

Yes, the price makes this excellent value for money.

What changes would you make to this product?

The instructions could be a little clearer (some common sense and guess work helped us but for those of you who are not very confident with assembling garden equipment, you may need someone to help). It also only comes with one battery pack, so if you have a larger lawn than us, you may find you’ll have to recharge the battery if you need to use the trimmer too.
