I’ve had all sorts of trouble with my feet, from low arches to bunions, but it’s the low arches that give me the most trouble! Normally, I have to wear walking boots as I find they provide the best under-arch support, but it took me a long time to find suitable ones.
The Chelsea boots from Strive have proved to be a real find and are actually best suited if you have low arches. They come with a warning that it may take a while to get used to the supportive insole as it can feel quite uncomfortable to begin with, but persevere… it’s worth it!
It takes a few days for the boots to mould themselves to your feet but now I wear them all the time without discomfort.
They’re also really smart and go with everything; they’re suitable for a walk of a mile or two or a dinner out. Being able to wear smart boots for day-to-day wear rather than walking boots is a real boost -and I’m certainly tempted to try the sandals come the summer!
