If you're a fan of shows like Downton Abbey and The Hardacres, you must add The Forsytes on Channel 5 to your watchlist! Based on novels by John Galsworthy, the six-part adaptation is being brought to life by Poldark creator Debbie Horsfield.
Set in the Victorian era, the new reimagining reunites us with four generations of the upper-class Forsyte dynasty of stockbrokers and it even stars Susan Hampshire, OBE, from the original 1960s BBC series.

"The question of who will take over the family firm puts Soames Forsyte and his cousin Jolyon in conflict just as their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of two remarkable women.
"Ultimately, each Forsyte family member grapples with the same dilemma – is it better to be ruled by the head or the heart?"
This Channel 5 series will be the third remake of the books, with the first being in the '60s and the second in 2002 (starring Damian Lewis and Gina McKee).
