With just 30 close relatives attending Prince Philip's funeral and following current lockdown restrictions, the general public has been urged to refrain from gathering near the royal residences to pay their respects to the Duke of Edinburgh following his passing on April 9.

A post on the Royal Family’s Twitter account read: ‘During the current public health situation, Books of Condolence will not be available for the public to sign.

Instead, an online book of condolences has been created for those of us who wish to leave a tribute to Prince Philip.

The Royal Family’s website states: ‘A selection of messages will be passed onto members of the Royal Family, and may be held in the Royal Archives for posterity.’
