Loose Women and Birds of a Feather star Linda Robson has shared a candid update on her health after undergoing major surgery, revealing she was left terrified during her time in intensive care.

The TV presenter, best known for her long-standing role on the ITV daytime panel show, was taken seriously ill after gallstones caused damage to her pancreas. She later underwent surgery and spent time recovering in intensive care.

Recalling the experience, she admitted how frightening it felt at the time.

“I was petrified in intensive care. I thought I was going to die,” she told The Sun. “I had to have most of my pancreas removed because there were two tumours in a difficult position.”

She also explained that further scans and tests were needed during her hospital stay, describing the ordeal as overwhelming.

Despite the seriousness of her condition, she said the support of her family helped her through the most difficult moments.

“Seeing my kids’ faces got me through it,” she said. “They were at the hospital all the time. They’ve been amazing.”

Now on the road to recovery, she says she is feeling much more positive and focused on enjoying life again after a challenging period.

“I had to take a back seat for a little while to get better, but I’m fine now,” she added. “I’m on the mend. I want to make the most of life.”

She also shared that the experience has left her feeling more confident and appreciative of everyday things.
