TV shows with Eve Myles
From fresh ITV dramas to gripping Welsh-set thrillers, these are the 10 TV shows starring Eve Myles you can’t miss:
The Guest

If you’re after an intriguing, cat-and-mouse style drama, look no further than The Guest. Eve Myles takes the lead as Fran, a confident and ambitious businesswoman - with a wardrobe to die for - whose world collides with Ria (Gabrielle Creevy), a young cleaner struggling to find her place in life. What starts as a well-meaning act of generosity soon spirals into a dark and manipulative friendship, where secrets, ambition and control shift dangerously between the two women.
Tense, stylish and twisty, it will keep you guessing until the very end!
Coldwater

In Coldwater, Eve plays Rebecca, an enigmatic and overfriendly vicar married to the mysterious Tommy (Ewen Bremner). When new neighbours John (Andrew Lincoln) and Fiona (Indira Varma) move in next door, the couple’s arrival disrupts the tight-knit village's hidden secrets, setting the stage for unsettling events.
The Hack (upcoming)

If true crime is more your thing, The Hack is a must-watch. Eve Myles stars as Jacqui Hames, a former Metropolitan Police officer and Crimewatch presenter, in this gripping ITV drama that explores the phone-hacking scandal behind the closure of the News of the World.
Set between 2002 and 2012, the series has an incredible ensemble cast led by David Tennant, Robert Carlyle (who plays her onscreen husband) and Toby Jones. Written by Jack Thorne (_Adolescen_ce) and directed by Lewis Arnold (Broadchurch), we know this is going to be excellent.
Doctor Who

Back in Christopher Eccleston's era, Eve Myles appeared in Doctor Who for one (very memorable) episode as Gwyneth, a telepath who could unintentionally read people’s minds. This was before her big break in the sci-fi spin-off, Torchwood.
Also in the episode was companion Rose, played by Billie Piper and Simon Callow as Charles Dickens. What a line-up!
Torchwood

In 2006, Eve Myles shot to fame in Torchwood, the Doctor Who spin-off. She plays Gwen Cooper, a clever, brave and empathetic police constable from Cardiff who suddenly finds herself part of a secret alien-hunting organisation. The show was a huge hit, mixing sci-fi action with dark, gripping drama and introduced Eve to millions of fans around the world, earning her a BAFTA Cymru award for Best Actress.
Fun fact: despite the similar name and look, Gwen isn’t related to Gwyneth from Doctor Who, as confirmed in the season four finale, Journey’s End.
Broadchurch

When it comes to British drama, Broadchurch is usually at the top of people’s lists - and for good reason! You might not remember, but Eve Myles joined the second series as Claire Ripley, a former hairdresser with a troubled past.
Claire is the estranged wife of Lee Ashworth (James D’Arcy). She is a vulnerable yet unreliable key witness in the Sandbrook murder investigation, who tries to send detectives Alec (David Tennant and Ellie (Olivia Colman) down the wrong path.
Keeping Faith

Eve Myles gave the performance of a lifetime in Keeping Faith. She played the titular character, Faith, a solicitor at a family-run law firm whose world is turned upside down when her husband disappears, causing her to cut her maternity leave short and deal with the consequences of his actions whilst raising their three young children.
The show - also known as Un Bore Mercher (One Wednesday Morning) was filmed concurrently in both Welsh and English and was the most popular show on BBC Wales for over 25 years.
Here's a fun fact for Keeping Faith fans: Evan (Bradley Freegard) and Faith (Eve Myles) are married in real life.
We Hunt Together

Eve Myles plays DS Lola Franks in We Hunt Together. In this twist on a classic cat-and-mouse story, two police officers track down a deadly duo who are drawn together through sexual desire and emotional manipulation.
Hijack

Idris Elba’s Hijack gripped viewers around the world, becoming one of the best shows on Apple TV+. Across seven tense episodes, the series follows the seven-hour ordeal of passengers on a flight from Dubai to London after it’s hijacked
On the ground, Eve Myles stars as Alice Sinclair, an air traffic controller who works tirelessly from her office to support corporate negotiator Sam Nelson (Idris Elba) as he tries to diffuse the crisis in the air. Her calm, determined presence adds depth and tension to the high-stakes drama, making her a standout in the series.
The Crow Girl

We were hooked on The Crow Girl, the Paramount+ adaptation of a Scandinavian bestselling novel about the race to track down a serial child killer. Eve stars as DCI Jeanette Kilburn, leading the investigation, while former Coronation Street actress Katherine Kelly plays Dr. Sophia Craven, a psychotherapist who joins forces with Kilburn to catch the cold-blooded murderer.

"I'd put my wedding off three times because of work commitments", she told WalesOnline. "This time I said we're not putting it off this time, we're getting married this year."

"It was in the most beautiful villa, we sat on a big wedding table, with crystal chandeliers above us and we had our own waiter. Matilda was just happily running around. It was an amazing day," she said.
"And the day after we just visited Florence and Siena eating pizza and drinking cold beer. Italy is an amazing country."
The couple now have three children, Matilda, Siena and their youngest daughter, who they welcomed in 2021.
Aside from playing Evan, Eve's onscreen husband in Keeping Faith, you may recognise Bradley as King Canute from Vikings: Valhalla.
