With so many crime dramas out there, it can sometimes be tricky to know which ones are worth your time and as a TV writer who's spent hours watching them, I'm hear to tell you that Criminal Record on Apple TV is up there with the very best, so I'm delighted that it's back for season 2.
Starring Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife, Stay Close) and Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Thick of It) the gripping show is set in contemporary London and follows their characters Detective Sergeant June Lenker and Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty as they clash with their policing techniques and moral judgements.

In season two of Criminal Record, a political rally is attacked by far-right counter-protesters and June Lenker is the senior officer on the scene.

It seems as if her best hope is Daniel Hegarty, now a key figure in the shadowy world of police intelligence. He may have the answers she needs but to get his help she will have to accept a dangerous bargain.”, the synopsis teases.
