ZSL London Zoo is inviting children to bring their teddies for a health-check this February half term, with Vets LIVE - a week of interactive family events celebrating the incredible work of the zoo’s vets.
From Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 February, the spotlight will be shining on ZSL London Zoo’s veterinary projects, highlighting the diverse work the vets do, caring for the zoo’s 17,000 animals.
There will be health checks on offer at the Teddy Bear Drop in service and children can become part of the action as they help experts conduct toy examinations at the Animal Hospital. Every animal ‘treated’ will receive a health certificate to take home.
At the packed schedule of talks and activities throughout the week, families will learn about the huge variety of work carried out by the zoo’s vets and keepers on a daily basis – from microchipping meerkats to checking the tigers’ teeth - to keep the animals in tip top condition.
All extra activities are included in the entry price.
