Despite being born without his right hand, Nicholas McCarthy (25) has had a whirlwind few years. He made history in 2012 as the first one-handed pianist to graduate from the Royal College of Music, in its entire 135-year history. He has played to crowds in Malta, Kazakhstan and America – and his UK fan base is growing.

Following his hugely successful Music In Remembrance Tour in 2014, Nicholas makes his Southbank Centre debut at the Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall on March 9, ahead of a South Korean tour.

The talented classical pianist is an expert in Left Hand Alone playing, and has previously transcribed popular Ivor Novello scores into pieces for one-handed players. Don't miss out!

Call 0844 875 0073 or visit www.southbankcentre.co.uk for tickets, from £9.75.
