The world-famous Battersea Dogs and Cats Home opens its doors on July 23, welcoming visitors to the annual Kitten Shower. Cat lovers are invited to meet the gorgeous new arrivals, all looking for new homes!
Since April 1 this year, the centre has taken in more than 250 stray and unwanted kittens - a 30 per cent increase on last year - so this is the perfect opportunity to spot a new pet, or simply give your little ones the chance to learn about animal welfare. With crafting, quizzes and the chance to name some of the new arrivals, this is learning made fun for all ages.
Tickets cost just £5 (£3 per child): click here to buy, or purchase on arrival. Two sessions will run; 10.30am-1pm and 2-4.30pm, at the charity's London Cattery, 4 Battersea Park Road, London, SW8 4AA.
Entry tickets for the kitten crèche are an additional £1 per person and issued on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. For further information about the charity visit www.battersea.org.uk
