Jigsaw amnesty: money off and fun for those in need of respite

If you're a puzzle fan, chances are that you have cupboards groaning with jigsaws, unlikely to grab your attention any time soon.

So why not drop a few unwanted jigsaws off at your local Hobbycraft this autumn? From October 18 - November 2, anyone who donates a puzzle will get a discount voucher, which can be put towards the purchase of any Jumbo puzzle in store. The Amnesty will take place in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol.

More importantly, for every puzzle donated, Jumbo will donate a brand new jigsaw to one of the following hospitals:

  • Great Ormond Street Hospital
  • Birmingham Heartlands Hospital
  • Royal Manchester Children's Hospital
  • Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh
  • Bristol Southmead Hospital

The aim is to send a selection of puzzles to these hospitals ahead of Christmas, for families and staff who find themselves away from home over the festive period.

Jumbo's Marketing Manager Katherine Pierce says, "Jigsaws are known to bring people together. Hopefully the puzzles will be a source of happiness for all those involved."
