Maybe it's the soft pillows, snuggly duvet and the knowledge that we'll be left in peace that makes three-quarters of us see our bedrooms as a special place compared to our other rooms.
Followed by the lounge and the kitchen, it's the UK's favourite spot in the house. For a third of us, sleeping is the number one activity, while 59 per cent just want some quiet alone time to relax.
Strangely enough though, the poll by Silentnight found that traditional bedtime activities - no, we don't mean those ones! - have declined in popularity. It turns out that only a quarter of us read before bed, just under a third watch TV and only 11 per cent eat breakfast in bed.
