Fans of Gogglebox will be familiar with the hilarious Steph and Dom. The flamboyant couple will be returning to our screens soon for something very different to Gogglebox in a very emotional documentary where they are opening up about their sons difficult battle with epilepsy.
Despite inviting viewers into their living rooms for Gogglebox, behind the scenes the jolly pair were going through a very difficult time with their 18-yer-old son, Max. After suffering from epilepsy since he was 4 months old, severe seizures have left him with brain damage and although he’s been on prescribed different kinds of medication his whole life to keep his condition under control, they haven’t been successful and sadly, a large seizure could potentially take his life.
The Channel 4 documentary, Can Cannabis Save Our Son?, sees the Parker family investigate whether cannabis oil could improve Max’s quality of life. In the programme, Steph and Dom along with Max and his 15-year-old sister Honor travel around the UK and further afield to meet people who have been prescribed cannabis oil to see how it has improved their quality of life whilst exploring the stigma attached to cannabis.
You can watch the heartbreaking documentary on Monday January 28 at 9pm on Channel 4
