Here’s everything we know about Paul O'Grady: For The Love of Dogs, which is returning to TV this Christmas Day!
We’re huge fans of both dogs and Paul O’Grady, so it’s no secret we’ve been hooked on For the Love of Dogs since it first began. Last year’s festive special was a hit, and so this year Battersea Dogs and Cats Home will be back on our tellies for Christmas.
Paul, who has already revealed his own Christmas plans to Yours, has hinted that he may be heading home with one of the little dogs from the festive episode. He revealed in an interview with TV Times that a terrier-type of dog had been left, heavily pregnant, on Hampstead Heath. Paul named her Bauble, then quickly changed his mind and called her Minnie – and we’re keeping everything crossed she’s lucky enough to go back to his Kent farmhouse with him! After all, poor Paul lost his beloved dog Louis earlier this winter, so he could do with another four-pawed cutie to love.
Other than Bauble, aka Minnie, we also know that all of the stories featured at Christmas will – thank goddess – have happy endings, so we won’t be left sobbing into our turkey! Look out for two soppy Basset Hounds and a friendly staffie.
