These prices rise steadily closer to the Christmas holidays, so if you’ve set your heart on a luxury Christmas break, it’s best to book early to get the best deal.

4 star hotels

While offering nearly the same level of amenities and prestige as 5 star options, pricing for 4 star accommodations stays relatively constant between now and December, with an average price of about £85 per night, meaning any time is a good time to book a 4-star getaway.

3 star hotels

3-star accommodation might prove to be the best option for travellers booking domestically for the Christmas holidays. Last year there was a 17 per cent decrease in price from September to December, meaning those more spontaneous travellers are guaranteed a good deal from now until the end of the year.
