The Spa

The hotel has a small, but perfectly formed spa on-site. Equipped with a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and gym, along with the treatment rooms, it certainly didn’t disappoint and it was so easy to switch off and relax. What else do you need?

A mid-week visit would be recommended though, just in case it gets too busy at the weekend and you find yourself waiting to use the facilities.

The treatments were out of this world. You can keep to the choice of one-hour treatments or split it into two different 30-minute treatments. Whatever you choose, we would recommend booking more than one, if you can, as you will be left wanting more!

The Food

The lunch that comes with the spa break is rather basic with not many options, but the breakfast and dinner more than make up for it. There was a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant at night and the staff were very professional and helpful throughout. At breakfast, the choice of foods is extensive and you will not leave hungry.

The rooms

Various types of rooms are available from standard to superior, as well as themed rooms and suites; all very reasonably priced. Our standard room was very clean, roomy and comfortable and had everything we needed, along with a modern bathroom, with gorgeous fluffy robes to wear.

Tankersley Manor is the kind of hotel that would appeal all year round. It’s very cosy in the winter with open fires and in the summer you can explore the some lovely outdoor spaces with plenty of places to sit and relax.

The Day Spa is perfect if you live nearby, but if you’re travelling from further afield an overnight stay is a must. The staff made us feel very welcome, right from the minute we arrived.
