We all know love can spring up in the most unlikely of places. And also, it turns out, at any time.
Today, more and more couples are finding love and even marriage later in life, in their fifties, sixties and beyond. In fact, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics the number of men aged over 60 deciding to marry has risen 6.3 per cent, while the number of women between the ages of 55 and 59 has gone up by 6.9 per cent. Which all goes to prove it's never too late to find a soulmate.
While some brides and grooms are doing it for the first time, many are also finding happiness after loss or divorce.
Now on the back of this growing trend, one TV production company, transparent television, are planning a special film all about getting wed later in life. And they're looking to find retired lovebirds who would be happy to get involved.
The film will look at love and marriage later in life by following older couples on their journey towards their big day, including all the nerves and excitement that come with planning a wedding.
So if you're over 70, are getting married before the end of 2016 and would be happy to be featured, contact transparent television by calling 0207 704 3310 or emailing EmmaLinstead@transparenttelevision.com to register your interest.
