Silk'n Infinity IPL review

What they say:

The Silk’n Infinity allows you to remove hair painlessly at lightning speed. A full-body treatment can be done in less than 20 minutes!

What our tester says:

Firstly, it is very important to read the instructions thoroughly as it explains about the settings needed for your hair/skin colour. Too high and it could burn, so err on the side of caution. The hair for removal must then be shaved (not waxed, tweezed or epilated), but once a small test area has been conducted successfully, you can getting zapping!

There is a companion Silk’n Infinity App you can download to your smartphone. This allows you to create a customised treatment programme, keep track of your treatments, setting reminders for your next session and ensuring you have the correct settings for your skin colour. It has 5 power settings, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.

eHPL™ uses a combination of Galvanic Energy and Optical Energy. Basically this opens the skin pores and allows the light pulses to reach the hair follicles and with 400,000 light pulses it’s not going to run out anytime soon. Just hold the bottom and top of the Infinity and press the button to target an area, or hold the button to glide over a larger area. It really is that simple.

I didn’t see an immediate different, but after three sessions, hair is growing back slower, softer and patchier. The bonus being it’s completely painless, there’s no ingrown hairs, stubble or irritation.

Whilst protective glasses are not included, I found the repetitive intense flashing light hurt my eyes after a while, so either had to wear sunglasses for a little bit of protection.
