Sexy Hair Blonde Sulphate-Free Bright Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner review

Our tester tried to make her blonde highlights last for longer... and it worked!

Having blonde highlights at the hairdressers is expensive - there's no getting around it. So it makes sense to do all that you can to keep them bright and light in between visits. Mine often go dull or brassy after a month or so, much to my frustration, so I thought I'd try Sexy Hair's Blonde range immediately after colouring to see if it made a difference.

More than two months later, I'm pleased to report that it has! I used the Bright Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner every time I washed my hair (on average once every two days) and my colour has stayed so true that I haven't even booked my next appointment yet. There are no brassy tones, and even my roots seem less noticeable (although this could be a result of the recent sunshine).

My two complaints are the price (at £11.95 each they are much more than I would usually pay) and that you can't pick them up at the supermarket currently, but I would definitely order them again. They've lasted ages - there's still plenty to go - and I love the packaging. Marilyn is the perfect in-shower inspiration to be the best blonde I can be!

Word of warning - the shampoo is a vibrant shade of purple, which made me do a double-take the first time I saw it! But it doesn't stain the bath, and washes out quickly. Condition-wise, I haven't noticed a massive change to my hair, but the colour-protection alone has been worth it.

Plus as they are currently on offer on Beauty Bay for £7.96 instead of the usual £11.95 you can give them a whirl for less.
