What it says it does:

The new Thane Pressure Pro, a pressure cooker with a difference.  Unlike traditional pressure cookers which involve a lengthy cooking process, Pressure Pro uses a 10 in 1 Smart Steam Technology allowing food to be cooked in minutes, not hours!

At the touch of a button Pressure Pro determines the quantity of food, if it’s fresh or frozen, and the proper pressure and temperature to cook. Its innovative technology cooks evenly by pressurised steam, which not only conducts heat better and faster than air, but locks flavour and moisture in.

What our reviewer said:

I have never used a Pressure Cooker before and was a little wary of using it, based on the news that Pressure Cookers of old were both noisy and a little volatile (in terms of safety and time it took to de-pressurise!) …… how relieved I was to be given the new Thane Pressure Pro!

It looks good and feels solid with an exceptional non-stick pan. It also has an easy-to-use control system and has a good user and safety manual (please remember to read this thoroughly and take the necessary precautions when using it).

I cooked beef bourguignon using the recipe book included and had a tasty meal within an  hour (from preparation time to pressure cooking). It tasted lovely!

My only small criticism is the recipe book included with the cooker, as some of the ingredients seem to be American but I am sure that as I become adept at using the cooker, I can adapt the recipes to suit my tastes or cook meals from other recipe books. I used to shy away from meals requiring lengthy cooking times but thanks to this cooker, that’s a thing of the past…..and just in time for winter warmer meals!
